  • ½ cup oats
  • ½ cup flour
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup cold butter
  1. Combine the oats, flour and brown sugar in a bowl.
  2. Cut the butter into the bowl in small pieces with a knife.
  3. With clean hands, rub the flour and butter mixture between your hands until it is in crumbly (sandy in texture).
  4. Sprinkle the topping over a prepared fruit base and bake at 375 F for 35 minutes.

This topping is delicious over a mixture of apples and peaches!

Other fruit bases you can try include:

  • strawberry and rhubarb
  • pear
  • cherry
  • raspberries

Remember to coat the cooking dish with butter or another type of oil/spray to ensure the fruit and topping do not stick.
